The two J1c1a members below have a Caswell County, NC connection.

1. Bailey is descended from James A Miller through his second wife, Leannah Horton (daughter of Townsend Horton and his wife whose name has so far eluded us) who he married in 1786 in Caswell County, NC. Leannah Horton’s haplogroup is J1c1a.
2. Carter is descended from Amelia Ann Watt who was born in 1821 somewhere in Tennessee and lived in Gibson County, Indiana at least from 1830 until her death in 1877. Her father “may” have been Asa Watt who died in 1841 in Gibson County, Indiana and his first wife whose name, of course, is unnknown. It is not presently known if the Watts were of Caswell County, NC other than Leannah Horton and Amelia match at 0 Genetic Distance. Amelia married Nathan R. Gooch 1824-1896. His mother was a Waters and related to the Goochs, Waters, Kerr, and Page families who were residents of Caswell County, NC and neighbors of James A Miller in the 1770’s and 1780’s.

Haplogroup K1a4a1b2 Tribe Alpha Members Weir, Meador, Barnette all descend from James A Miller (1723-1823) through his first wife whose name we so far have not discovered. She had the K1a4a1b2 Haplogroup and matches all the others in Tribe Alpha.
