Generation 2-Louise Barnette, deceased-married Charles FitzGerald McKiever, deceased. They only had one son and one daughter, so only the daughter would have been able to pass along her T2b5a mt-dna to her sons and daughters.
Generation 3-Hilda Finch bon 1891 Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia died 1958 Washington, DC buried Lawrenceville, Gwinnett County, Georgia. She married 1913 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia to Hugh Gilbert Marshall Barnette 1891-1961.is a descendant of Louisa Marshall (mt-dna ancestor of Neve) but this connection does not involve a mt-dna connection, just a cousin relationship and one of the intriquiging finds in this mt-dna quest. Hilda and Hugh had several children, only two of which had issue.
Generation-4-Viola Howell Gaines born 18665 Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia and died 1930 Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. She was married to Robert Green Finch as his second wife in 1890 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born 1849 in Spartanburg, South Carolina and died 1916 Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. The Finch family was from Spartanburg SC and also lived in Ashville, Buncobe County, North Carolina, home region of his first wife who died about 1872. In the late 1870s he moved to Atlanta Georgia
Generation-5-Sarah Elizabeth Baxter was born about 1834 probably in Henry County, Georgia. She married Rev. John Richard Gaines 18 December 1851 in DeKalb County, Georgia. Gaines was descended from a long line of Virginia Baptists who migrated from Culpeper County, Virginia to Laurens District South Carolina about 1790. At some point he became Methodist and served as a Methodist Circuit Riding Preacher in a multicounty area near Fulton County during the Civil War. He died in 1869 while serving in that capacity in Canton, Georgia and is buried in the Methodist Church cemetery in Canton along with his wife who died in Atlanta in 1906.
Generation-6-Elizabeth Isom was born about 1806 in Georgia and died in 1887 in the Buckhead area present day Atlanta in Fulton County, Georgia. She married about 1825 or 1826 to James Baxter who was born 1805 in Franklin County, Georgia and died 1892 in Buckhead, Fulton County, Georgia. Elizabeth Isom and James Baxter had several children incuding several daughters 1) Joseph Walker Baxter born 1829 2) Mary Adaline born and died 1833 3) Parthena T. Baxter born 1830 wife of Marion A Wilson 4) Charles W Baxter born 1837 5) Williiam C Baxter born 1837 6) Jane Elder Baxter born and died 1840 7) Martha C Baxter born 1844 wife of James Thomason Wethington
Generation-7-The mother of Generation 6 is unknown but is thought to have been Parthena Miles. Other than the name of a grandaughhter named Parthena, there is no known evidence this was her name. The family lived in the Buckhead area of what is now Atlanta in Fulton County. Fulton County was created in 1854 from DeKalb County which had several courthouse fires, the last major one on 1842. By putting Parthana Miles into an Ancestry Tree, several matches appear in Ancestry’s ThruLines tool. After studying the pages of these dna matches no eveidence has been discovered substantiating the Parthena claim.
Parthena, if that was her name, was married to Charles Isom who died in Fulton County, Georgia in 1855. He was a widower at the time, meaning she predeceased him. So, again, there is no record of the name of his wife and mother of his children. The names of the children of Charles Isom and his wife Parthena other than Generation 6 were: William W. Isom born 1808 died 1880 2) Abigail Isom born 1808 died 1888 wife of Reuben Nelson Thomason 3) James M Isom born 1816 died 1866 married Mary A. 4) John Isom born 1818 married Sophia 5) Sarah Isom born 1800 wife of Georgia Thomason

Generation 4-Evalena Louisa Marshall born 1840 Macon County, Alabama died 1890 Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. Married 1st to William Calloway Barnett born 1828 Perry County, Alabama and died 1862 in the Civil War. There were two sons from 1st marriage. She married 1865 in Alabama to Bejamin Welch and had two daughters, Elizabeth Anne and Lula. Mic Barnette is a descendant of Louisa Marshall through her 1st marriage to William Calloway Barnett. In addition, T2b5a Project member Browning is also a descendant of Louisa and William Calloway Barnett, but not in the Mt-DNA line. The T2b5a mt-dna connection between Browning and Neve is expected to be backwards in time, in generations earlier than South Carolina
Generation 5-Elizabeth Anne Townsend born 1812, in Abbeville District South Carolina according to family research. She died about 1873 in Chilton County, Alabama. It is believed she is a descendant of Repentance Townsend but definitive evidence has not proven this. She married, as best our evidence is showing through paper as well as DNA evidence that her husband was William Marshall who was born in Abbeville District South Carolina, son of Samuel Marshall and Mary Steen. Willliam Marshall was dead by 1848, dying probably in or near Macon County, Alabama
